Advancing health through teaching, research and patient care

The medical school at the University of Alberta is turning 100 in 2013!

The Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry is delighted to be celebrating 100 Years of Medicine with a trip back in time, as we look at how the school grew from a class of 27 students in 1913 into the education, research and clinical powerhouse it is today with over 2,300 learners and faculty members.

This centennial celebration belongs to everyone – our students, residents and fellows, faculty members and staff, distinguished alumni, the university and the broader community.

We invite you to “dust off the family album” and browse around this site to learn about the people, events and accomplishments that have shaped the University of Alberta medical school. You’ll also find out about the many activities that we have planned throughout our upcoming centennial year.

Join us on our journey.
